TALL BUILDINGS EVENT SUCCESS - 21 May 2010

Our latest Tall Buildings Event, hosted by CitiBank, London on the 21st of May 2010 once again proved to be most successful and was well received by those attending. A significant outcome from the event was agreement that future Tall Building forums will be driven by a new group led by Patrick Flynn, HSBC's Health and Safety Manager and Peter Taylor, the UK's Health and Safety Manager for Citigroup. The Fire Strategy Company will continue to promote and support future Tall Building Events.

HERITAGE SALVAGE COURSE SUCCESS - July and March 2010

Our newly developed two day Heritage Salvage Course was delivered twice during July and March to staff of a very high profile London customer. The course dealt with the recovery of valuable artifacts, paintings, books and furniture at times of flood, fire and other high risk events. The course looked at lessons learned during the Windsor Castle fire, manual handling, PPE and the storage, security and care of recovered items. A tutorial at a local mansion was included with a practical recovery exercises at the DFTDC Unit on the second day. Details of the course and dates of future courses are here.
